The Obama administration again proves to be stranger than fiction. With this President consistently getting caught in mistruths and double-speak, the fact that the Obama reelection campaign decided to launch a “Truth Team” to fend off expected attacks on the President’s record is a true laugh out loud event. The campaign explains:
“The Truth Team is a network of supporters of President Obama who are committed to responding to unfounded attacks and defending the President’s record. When you’re faced with someone who misrepresents the truth, you can find all the facts you need right here—along with ways to share the message with whoever needs to hear it.”
ABC News reports the campaign is looking to “enlist” and “educate” nearly 2 million people for the team. The Truth Team webpage features a blog with references to three outlets “AttackWatch,” KeepingGOPHonest,“ and ”KeepingHisWord.” Keep in mind “enlist” and “educate” are Soros propaganda buzz words.
“Every time a baseless attack comes to light, we’ll arm you with the truth so you can spread the word.”
Attack Watch — launched last fall — includes a Politifact-like blog putting a quote next to a truth team answer, which includes NO citations, “Attack Files,” as well as pages to “Report an Attack” or “Spread the Word. Last September, AP predicted that the much-derided Attack Watch would remain in place because, as Mary Katherine Ham tweeted at the time, “#AttackWatch is metaphor for Obama 08 vs. 12. Same product, subtract style, sprinkle desperation.”
Truth Teams will be announced in swing states like Iowa, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina and Wisconsin, with events being held in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio and Virginia. National supporters for the organization include the National Education Association, Service Employees International Union, United Food and Commercial Workers International Union and the United Steelworkers Union, you know, the usual $60 pay per day union players.
I suggest the first investigation of the Truth Team be White House Chief of Staff Jack Lew’s misleading claims yesterday that the Senate’s failure to pass a budget resolution is because it does not have the votes. In case you missed it, Lew told TWO Sunday morning shows that the reason Obama’s Budgets have not passed the Senate, the legislative body that hasn’t passed a budget since Michael Jackson was alive (over 1000 days), is because it takes a super majority of 60 votes. The liberal, alternative DC newspaper, The Washington Post, gave Lew FOUR Pinoochios citing the well known fact that it only takes a simple majority of 51 votes to pass a budget in the Senate. Since democrats have owned the Senate with a majority during Obama’s entire presidency, you do the math.
The Lew lie yesterday is barely 24 hours old, if one wants to chronicle Obama mistruths google it, there are sites dedicated to archiving his hyperbole. The Obama Truth Team, I still can’t stop laughing.
